In 1999, I read the shocking
statistics put out by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Center for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that changed my life. The obesity rates in
the US had grown to the point that 60% of all Americans were overweight despite
falling rates of fat consumption! Finally, it occurred to me that high carbohydrate,
low fat diets do not work! 1999 was the year I began low carbohydrate dieting.

After
2 years of low carbohydrate dieting, I am now back down to the size 8-10 that
I was in 1987! While I am achieving the results I always hoped for, I found
that it took quite a bit of trial and error to get to this point. Low carbohydrate
dieting was a drastic change from the high carbohydrate dieting that I had
practiced for almost 15 years. I had a long learning curve to get to the point
in which I learned how to truly be successful. By incorporating all that I
learned into my book, Low Carb Success I am hoping to assist you and others
in achieving the same wonderful results that I achieved in a shorter time
period.
